Enjoy the sun of spring
Opt for an extra long weekend in the spring sun during the Whitsun weekend. Can’t get enough of the beautiful beach? Then be smart and stick some other vacation days together for a gigantic vacation !!! May will of course go into the books as the month with the most holidays and the nice long weekends. With a smart approach you have a maximum number of days off, at the expense of a small number of vacation days.
Why do we celebrate Pentecost?
It is of course very nice such an extra day off on Monday – but who knows exactly what we celebrate during Pentecost? Exactly. High time to refresh the memory. Pentecost is derived from the Greek word pentekostè, which means fifty. The holiday always falls on the tenth day after Ascension Day and the fiftieth day after Easter Monday. We commemorate the descent of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles and the emergence of the Christian Church. We know that now? But what are we going to do?
Cozy and luxorious accommodations
Covered facilities available
Walking distance from the beach
Ideal with children
Huge outdoor playground for children
Get some fresh air on the beach
Where Christmas has its cozy Christmas decorations, its Christmas markets, the Christmas tree and all other commercial matters, Pentecost has at most annually recurring events. There is no real ritual for Pentecost. Easter even has quite a few traditions, just think of the Easter bunny and decorating and searching Easter eggs. During Pentecost, people often flock to the residential boulevard or all kinds of sporting events or music festivals. Many people seek out nature and go for an extensive tour by bike or walking. Do you escape the residential boulevard madness and do you opt for a relaxing stay in a bungalow near the sea? To start your own Pentecost ritual?!
At the park
The cozy restaurant in the park provides a tasty lunch or extensive dinner and will be happy to deliver freshly baked bread rolls to your bungalow in the morning. The children are entertained by the animation team during holidays and they cannot get enough of the huge outdoor playground that guarantees hours of fun. Doesn’t that sound like a great way to spend your Pentecost?
