Reception
What are the check-in and check-out times?
If you have booked a bungalow or safari tent, you can check in from 3:00 pm. On the day of departure, we ask you to leave the accommodation tidy before 10:00 and check out at the reception.
In our various accommodations, you can also choose an early check-in so that you can enter as early as 12:00 noon. The cost for this is €28.
Trekking tent luxury has a check-in time of 3 p.m. and a check-out time of 10 a.m.
When you have reserved a camping pitch, you can check in from 13:00. Check-out on the day of departure is before 12 noon.
After you have checked out, you can still use the public areas at Vlugtenburg all day long. Would you like to check out early before the reception opens? Then you can leave the key in the red letterbox opposite the reception.
Accommodation
Can I reserve a specific accommodation?
It is possible to reserve a specific accommodation. Do you have a preference for a particular bungalow, gypsy wagon or safari tent? Please contact us. If it is available, we will reserve it for you. We charge a preferred fee of €40 for this.
Is there an oven in the accommodation?
Our Ocean Deluxe bungalows all include an oven. Our other accommodations do not.
What does the VIP package include?
The VIP package includes the following items: beds made on arrival, a towel package per person (two large towels), a kitchen linen package (tea towel and towel) and one complete breakfast per person which is delivered on a chosen day.
What does the Comfort Package entail?
The Comfort Package includes the following items: beds made on arrival, a towel package per person (two large towels) and a kitchen linen package (tea towel and towel).
Camping
How long can my camper be?
In our campground, your mobile home may be a maximum of 8 meters.
How many amps of electricity are available?
16 amps are available at the campground.
Cars and parking
What are the opening hours of the barrier?
The entrance barrier of our park is open from 07:00 to 23:00. Are you arriving after this time? Then you can park in the visitor’s parking lot opposite the reception.
How many cars are allowed in the park?
It does not matter how many cars you come with, they can all be in the park. Whether the cars can be parked near your accommodation depends on the number of available parking spaces. Otherwise they can be parked a bit further in the park. If that is the case, we also have luggage carts. Ideal for getting your stuff in the right place.
Comfort package or VIP package
Good to know: bed linen is always included in your booking. The beds in our Luxury, Care and Ocean Deluxe bungalows are already made for you as standard. For all other accommodations you can choose a Comfort or VIP package when booking so that you can flop into a freshly made bed on arrival!
A comfort package costs €20,- p.p. and this includes:
- Making the beds
- Towels (1 package with 2 towels)
- Kitchen linen (1 per accommodation)
A VIP package costs €29 p.p. and this includes:
- Making the beds
- Towels (1 package)
- Kitchen linen (1 per accommodation)
- 1 regular breakfast box (delivered on day of your choice)
Facilities
Is there an animation team at Strandpark Vlugtenburg?
Throughout the year on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays the animation team is present. In the vacations even almost every day! Read all about our animation team here.
Can I rent bicycles at Vlugtenburg?
Yes, we have women’s, children’s and electric bikes for rent. You do not necessarily need to reserve the bikes in advance (only if you want to make sure we have enough). The electric bike must be reserved at least one day in advance. We also have child seats for rent, which we can attach to the back or front of the bicycle. Look here for more information.
How does the wireless internet work and are there any costs involved?
Use of Wi-Fi in the park is free. The bungalows are equipped with their own Wi-Fi router. There is a clear explanation about its use in the accommodation. It goes without saying!
On the camping site you need a password to connect and you can request this at the reception.
Guests
Are groups of young people allowed on Vlugtenburg?
Young people under the age of 21 are not allowed in the park. Groups of young people under the age of 30 pay a deposit of €250 in advance. These will be returned by bank at the end of the holiday if they behave well and a tidy bungalow has been left behind. You will receive the deposit form with the associated rules with your booking confirmation.
Pets
Can I bring my dog to Strandpark Vlugtenburg?
We have a number of bungalows that are suitable for guests who would like to bring their dog. Due to the availability of these bungalows, dogs are only allowed on request and must be registered when making the reservation. There is a maximum of two dogs per bungalow. We also charge € 4.25 per dog, per night and a one-time additional cleaning fee. This is € 14 for a Dune Comfort Bungalow, € 22 for a Luxury / Care Bungalow and € 30 for an Ocean Deluxe Bungalow. However, dogs must be leashed in the park and may not be left alone in our accommodations.
Are dogs allowed on Vlugtenburg beach?
Dogs are allowed on Vlugtenburg beach. Check the website of our municipality for the current rules for Beach Entrance Vlugtenburg and the other Westland beaches.
Are dogs allowed on the campsite?
Dogs are allowed on the campsite. However, these must be registered when making the reservation. Also, an additional cost of €3.50 per dog will be added to the booking.
Are cats allowed?
Cats are unfortunately not allowed in our accommodations.
Payment
When does my reservation have to be paid?
When you have made a reservation you will receive a confirmation in the mail with a payment date. The full amount must be paid before arrival at beach park location.
Have you made a reservation and is your arrival within two weeks of the reservation made? Then you can no longer pay in installments and the payment is made in one go.

Cancellation
For cancellations, the Recron conditions also apply, this is as follows (see also Recron conditions):
- for cancellation more than three months before the effective date, 15% of the agreed price;
- for cancellation within three to two months before the start date, 50% of the agreed price;
- for cancellation within one month before the effective date, 90% of the agreed price;
- for cancellation on the day of the start date, 100% of the agreed price.
- cancellation within one week to 1 day before the effective date (arrival), 50% of the rental price;
- cancellation on day of entry date (arrival), 100% of the agreed price.
- cancellation within one month to 1 week prior to the effective date (arrival): 50% of the rental price;
- cancellation within the week before the effective date (arrival): 75% of the rental price;
- cancellation on the day of the effective date (arrival): 100% of the agreed price.
