Why do we celebrate Pentecost?
It is of course very nice to have an extra day off on Monday – but who knows exactly what we celebrate during Pentecost? Precisely. Time to refresh your memory. Pentecost is derived from the Greek word pentekoste, which means fifty. The holiday always falls on the tenth day after Ascension and the fiftieth day after Easter Sunday. We commemorate the descent of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles and the birth of the Christian Church. Do we know that now? But what are we going to do?
- Atmospheric and luxurious accommodations
- Covered facilities available
- Walking distance from the beach
- Ideal with children
- Outdoor playground for children
- Get some fresh air on the beach
Book a weekend away with Pentecost
With Pentecost we have an extra long weekend and that is why it is a good idea to take advantage of this. Book a luxury safari tent, bungalow, camping pitch on a pipowagen on the beach and experience the relaxation that the beach has to offer. During Pentecost we often have wonderful spring weather, which is of course wonderful for a walk on the beach.
Typical Pentecost
Where Christmas has its cozy Christmas decorations, its Christmas markets, the Christmas tree and all other commercial matters, Pentecost has at most annual events. There is no real connection of Pentecost to any ritual. Easter still has more, just think of the Easter bunny and decorating and searching for Easter eggs. During Whitsun, people often leave en masse for the residential boulevard or all kinds of sporting events or music festivals. Many people seek out nature and go for an extensive cycle or walk. Do you want to escape the furnishing madness and opt for a relaxing stay in a bungalow near the sea?
What to do in the area?
In and around your bungalow there are plenty of active opportunities for a long Pentecost weekend. Choose a beach walk along the water or a bike ride through the dunes. The real daredevil takes a dip in the cold sea and then warms up with a city trip to one of the surrounding cities.
at the park
The cozy restaurant at the park provides a delicious lunch or extensive dinner and will gladly deliver freshly baked bread rolls ordered by you in the morning. The children are entertained during holidays by the animation team and they can’t believe their luck in the huge outdoor playground that guarantees hours of fun. Doesn’t that sound like a fantastic way to spend your time during the Pentecost days?
