Eetcafé Zout is located right next to the dunes, close to the beach. After a wonderful day at the beach or a brisk bike ride through Westland, you can join us here. Enjoy a cooling drink while the children play in the adjacent playground. Or enjoy one of our delicious dishes with the whole family!

You really don’t have to worry that the dishes in the restaurant contain too much salt. Better yet, a dish with a lot of salt is not tasty at all. But salt is of course a good seasoning and that fits perfectly with a restaurant so close to the (salty) North Sea. After a day at the beach, your body could use some salt. First step under the surfboard that has been transformed into a shower to rinse the sea off you and plop down on the terrace. Where the staff will serve you a drink with a salty snack on the side!

Order your sandwiches at the reception, in the restaurant or online via our webshop. And we ensure that freshly baked bread rolls are delivered to you on the desired morning. You can choose from individual sandwiches or a complete breakfast with all the trimmings!

Nice with your feet up and slumped in the terrace cushions. Good location, comfortable seating and good company. Which crucial item is still missing…? Of course a snack and a drink?! We have found the solution for this. We have created our new drinks menu, including all kinds of refreshing cocktails.

In addition, we have also added a very special extra service to the popular bread basket. Because, do you always find it so annoying? That the spreads are always used up much faster than the bread itself? When the bottom comes into view…. Give a yell and we’ll make sure all dips are neatly refilled. Bread with infinite spreads!

The outdoor playground at Strandpark Vlugtenburg is a huge attraction for small children. It is not just a playground… But a real play paradise with a huge climbing tower. Hours of entertainment for all kids guaranteed!

Outdoor Playground

It is a challenging and versatile playground with something for every child. Several climbing devices and panels provide an unforgettable play adventure. Children from 2 to 14 years old can play here to their heart’s content, without and with limitations. A big plus is that the playground is adjacent to Eetcafé Zout, where the parents can relax on the terrace. And be honest, what parent wouldn’t want that?!

Water playground

If the weather is nice, the kids can also cool off in the new water playground! They can climb on a boat and slide off again through the water jets, play a mini-game or just walk through the water jets. And the water playground is also adjacent to Eetcafé Zout, so from the terrace or from the conservatory you can watch the children play. Curious about opening hours? Indoor play area

Adjacent to the restaurant’s conservatory is a cozy indoor play area for little ones. The room is completely underwater themed, with cheerful details and colorful underwater animals everywhere. In the middle is a real boat to go on an adventure! Furthermore, children can cook in the kitchenette or play together at the table full of cars. There is always something fun to do here!

From the boat you can sail to a huge mural of a shark. Do you dare? Which friends will you come explore the play space with?
